“It was so terribly cold …”

With Christmas right around the corner, the concert “The Little Match Girl” focuses on those, who have nowhere to go.

As nights grow longer and days shorten, CAMERATA will shine a light in Esajas Church accompagnied by an ensemble of professional musicians. We invite you to join us in a moment of reflection on the fairytale “The Little Match Girl” by Danish poet Hans Christian Andersen. It is a tale of a life ended too soon, without anyone noticing, as the big city harshly rushes on.

In this concert, CAMERATA is collaborating with the acknowledged Swedish choir conductor Sofia Söderberg, who experiments with performance designs, letting storytelling and music complement each other. Sofia Söderberg has composed a program, which reflects and interprets the moods of the fairytale “The Little Match Girl”.

Concert on November 26th, 4 pm in Esajas Church, Malmøgade 14, 2100 Copenhagen Ø.
