This fall, CAMERATA will travel to New York and New England, but before we leave, our Danish audience can enjoy both an exciting concert focusing on the oldest choral music in Scandinavia, and a lecture on Nordic choral tradition.
October 11th – 27th, 2019, CAMERATA Chamber Choir will tour New York, New Haven, Boston and Vermont, presenting the american public for the beautiful, unique mood in Nordic a-cappella music. We perform at the New York early music festival 2019, spreads Nordic atmosphere at the Scandinavian Cultural Center in Boston and gives lectures with live music performances for the Columbia and Yale music students, among many other activities.
Of course, our Copenhagen audience should also experience this. So, Sunday, October 6th there is a beautiful autumn concert with early music in modern interpretations at Esajas Church, and on Tuesday the 8th our conductor Sofia Söderberg gives an exciting lecture on Nordic choir music at the conservatory, with lots of live musical examples provided by CAMERATA.
Thank you to the Augustinus Foundation, William Demant Foundation and Knud Højgaards Foundation for invaluable financial support for the trip.
