The Copenhagen Chamber Choir CAMERATA offers an experience full of Nordic Passion, both in the liturgical and the profane sense, when we celebrate Easter and welcome spring in a concert packed with Nordic composers.
The first part of the concert presents a potent selection of music for the passion time, by the two modern scandinavian composers Knut Nystedt and Sven David Sandström, including pieces where the talented young cellist Nicole Hogstrand will accompany the choir. The second part of the program welcomes the rebirth of spring with beautiful Nordic suites by Wilhelm Stenhammer, Rued Langgaard and Jørgen Jersild among others, and a new suite written for CAMERATA by Swedish composer Gunnar Eriksson.
CAMERATA will be bringing this concert to Oxford, Hampton and London, as we travel to England to follow up on the relations we built in 2017 as we won the London International A Cappella Choral Competition. The judges at that occasion described our performance as “Completely masterful, technically measured and yet expressive to the core”.
